About this Role
Job Responsibilities:
• Work in an all-scratch kitchen with fresh, seasonal ingredients
• Prepare and execute menu items according to recipes and company standards and the ability to adjust to desired yields
• Follow a production list, maintaining accuracy and inventory
• Measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients using a scale, measuring cups and measuring spoons
• Ensure a superior experience beyond our Guests’ expectations
• Bring positive energy and passion for learning, hospitality, and baking/pastry
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, teamwork environment
• Uphold proper safety and sanitation habits at all times
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years industry experience with at least 1 year baking/ bread making focused
• Large scale/ production baking and kitchen experience preferred
• Familiar with liquid, dry and volume weights and can determine when to apply each
• Knowledgeable in a variety of bread methods, including quick breads, straight dough mix and sponges
• Understands creaming methods, folding, and braiding techniques, lamination and kneading
• Well versed in leavening agents and ingredients that encompass physical, biological and chemical agents
• Can scale, roll, proof and bake bread in a temperamental environment, knowing when to adjust to ensure a consistent product
• Trained in a variety of bakery equipment including large dough mixers, dough sheeters, proofers, tilt skillets, dough rounders and can operate a variation of ovens
• Strong communication skills and work ethic
• ServSafe certification required (can be obtained on the job)
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, time management, and analytical skills
• Proficiency in job related basic computer skills
